A staff member presented the Corsicana ISD board planning calendar for the 2026'27 school year and asked trustees to review the draft before the board is asked to approve it at the next meeting.
"So this isn't information item tonight, but this is our board planning calendar for the 2026'27 school year," the staff member said, noting the draft is intended to align with the district calendar and avoid conflicts with student days off. The presenter said an updated board book would be posted the following day and discussed possible additional meetings in October and January.
The board concluded the public portion of the meeting and "adjourn[ed] into closed sessions permitted by Texas government code section 5 5 1 dash o 1," the presiding officer said, citing the statutory basis for a closed session. No formal votes were recorded in the public portion of the meeting.
Trustees are scheduled to meet again as noted on the draft calendar and will be asked to act on approval at the upcoming meeting.
