After an executive session to discuss negotiations and personnel matters, the Erie Town Council returned to open session and approved two personnel resolutions.
The council approved a resolution to appoint Melissa Wiley as acting town manager covering the period read into the record as 02/18/2026 through 02/24/2026. The mayor asked for a motion to approve as updated; the motion was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote.
The council then considered and approved a second resolution appointing Meredith Muth to serve as interim town manager effective at midnight on February 25, 2026. That motion likewise was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote. Meredith Muth had earlier appeared in the meeting as Director of Administrative Services and had presented the council rules and ethics item.
Both appointments were approved by voice vote; the transcript records unanimous "aye" responses and the chair stating "Motion carries." No roll-call vote tally by member names was recorded in the meeting transcript provided.
