Historic District Commission hears briefings on fence permit, sign updates and upcoming charrette

Staff said a fence permit application has been submitted for a rear-yard 6-foot vinyl fence on North Rowlett; because vinyl is not an administratively approvable material in the historic district, the item may return to the HDC. Staff also said sign-permit revisions are pending for So Well Med Spa (near the former Gus’ site) and for the Stamps Building multi-tenant panels.
The planner noted an expected rezoning request on South Street involving multiple neighboring property owners and said staff member Scott Resansky is handling that matter. Staff also encouraged HDC participation in an upcoming comp-plan charrette week, highlighting a Tuesday presentation by Dr. Tristan Campbell and a Thursday evening close-out session that the planner recommended commissioners attend.
