Kossuth County supervisors approve DD PAK 1 repairs, $18,533 change order and several routine measures

Utility permit and equipment purchases The board authorized Heartland Power Coop (Thompson, Iowa) to remove overhead power and install underground three‑phase and single‑phase lines by plowing/boring across specified road and tile crossings in portions of German Township; Permit 04‑06‑2026 is on file in the Kossuth County Engineer’s Office. Separately, the board approved repair of a Zoll X Series monitor by Renew Biomedical for $5,012.50.
Personnel and finance actions The board voted not to offer HSA contributions for retired employees who remain eligible for Kossuth County Insurance Group benefits. The board then voted to use Farmers Trust & Savings Bank for employee and elected official HSA accounts. Both motions were carried unanimously.
Drainage petitions, bids and administrative items The board appointed engineering firm Bolton & Menk to handle a drainage petition for DD 116 Lats 12 & 14. Supervisors were assigned responsibility for a list of drainage requests (items 2026‑010 through 2026‑016) by motion. The board opened four bids for the DD 4 Lat 11 Ducks Unlimited Project; bid consideration and award were deferred to next week. Consideration of the HR/CPC position was postponed until the next meeting.
