At its meeting Tuesday, March 24, the St. Bernard Community Improvement Corporation heard a developer update and referred two property-sale matters to its property review committee.
Taylor told the board that the developer is revising floor plans and layouts that previously were judged unmarketable and is working through underwriting and numerical adjustments; the developer expects to provide an update in about a week. "The developer did give us an update that they're just working through, refreshing the plans, not making any major changes," Taylor said.
On property sales, the Chair described a request from the owner of 119 Church Street to acquire a 10-foot section of side lot for off-street parking. The Chair said CIC staff are researching zoning options and asked that the item be placed with the property review committee for further review and a recommendation to the full board next month.
The Chair also asked that discussion of a parcel on Lawrence behind the St. Bernard Market be added to the same committee agenda; he said that parcel is developable and connected to the Heritage Hill district plan.
A garden-club representative told the board the garden club accepted the CIC's request to landscape the shopping center when it is safe to plant. The Chair thanked the garden club and noted arrangements for planters and flowers.
No formal votes were recorded on the development or property-sale items; both were referred to the property review committee for further study and recommendation.
