Council OKs Town Center West rezoning and final plat for phase 2 development

Engineer Joe Foley told the council the application covers phase 2 of the development and is primarily multifamily with some commercial space; he said the project met city requirements. No opponents appeared at the public hearing. The planning board and planning department recommended approval.
Council members voted to approve the ordinance, final plat and subdivision agreement on a combined motion; the roll call showed unanimous approval.
Staff will proceed with ministerial permitting steps required by planning and building divisions. The approvals enable the project sponsor to advance site work and to seek private financing and building permits.
