Board members discussed aerial imagery and mapping tools that could improve property reviews, mentioning 'pictometry' and EagleView as vendors and noting Google Earth as an additional reference. Staff said a planned imagery flight is delayed but that the county would look into vendor demonstrations; EagleView typically has a presence at the NACA conference in Kearney, staff noted.
The chair summarized that while the county picks up some new information when it updates sales windows or imagery, overall the assessor's office is not observing major countywide changes in values. No formal direction or policy change was adopted at the meeting; staff were encouraged to continue outreach and vendor exploration.
