JCIT to investigate gaps in e-filing for justice courts after presenter shows coverage and error-rate data

Committee members flagged that 51 counties account for about 86% of Texas' population but several large counties and many JP courts remain only partially integrated or not e-filing at all. Speaker S9 asked the committee to verify court-level data and to secure accurate contact information so the assigned team can interview JP offices and determine barriers—technology, funding or staffing—that prevent adoption.
