At its May 4 meeting the Moore City Council approved a package of routine contracts and purchases for public works, parks and public safety.
Public Works: Staff recommended a one-year extension of the mowing contract with Tuscanyu Lawn and Landscape (the second year of a five-year term) with a 2% increase to the base contract and 19 newly identified sites for a total of 29 sites; staff cited a total season cost of $226,848. The council approved the extension by roll call.
Parks and landscaping: The council approved drainage improvements at Phillips 66 Park performed by Silver Star Construction with a budget amount of $240,000 to be paid from the quarter-cent sales tax. Council also awarded a landscaping contract (bid 2026-012) to Test New Lawn and Landscape LLC and approved an amended contract amount of $189,002.72 after staff review of backup details.
Equipment and fleet: The council declared eight replaced police vehicles surplus for auction. The council approved a budgeted purchase of 10 handheld radios and accessories from L3Harris for $36,928.58 under the Sourcewell contract and authorized purchase of a US Digital Design G2 primary dispatch center system with training for $52,074.94 using 911 funds.
Solid waste: The Public Works Authority approved purchasing 702 polycarts from Rain Pacific Company Container Group for $38,406.42 as the lowest responsible quote; staff said the city typically purchases roughly a truckload (~700 carts) each quarter to replace damaged carts and serve new construction.
