The Riverview City Council on March 16 approved its consent agenda, which included three items: authorization to prepare bidding documents for a granular activated carbon media change-out at the land preserve; approval of a special events application from Grace Church to hold an Easter egg hunt at Young Patriot’s Park; and renewal of the local video service franchise agreement with DIRECTV.
Councilmember Gannaga moved to approve the consent agenda and Councilman Pray supported the motion. Roll call recorded five yes votes with Councilwoman Clark and Councilmember O'Neil excused; the motion carried.
Separately, a presenter announced the city’s annual Easter Stroll on Saturday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to noon at Young Patriot's Park and noted that about 27 groups, organizations, businesses and churches would be participating and handing out items for children.
The consent agenda authorization for bidding documents allows staff to prepare procurement materials for the activated carbon media change-out; the council did not take additional recorded action on contract award in this meeting.
