"Our goal with this code update is to modernize and streamline our building and construction regulations," Starnes said, noting plans to form a committee including fire, public works, planning and community development staff.
Commissioners asked that resident suggestions and language submitted in the packet be considered as the team works through the updates. The board directed staff to proceed with evaluation and committee formation and approved the motion unanimously.
