The Grand County Commission unanimously approved a package of routine and administrative items on April 21, including the consent agenda, the county’s Community Impact Board (CIB) priority list for 2026–2027, and a resolution amending the Canyonlands Healthcare Special Service District bylaws.
The consent agenda included approval of meeting minutes for April 7 and 17, ratification of payment of bills, ratification of an environmental review exemption for Arroyo Crossing Phase 4, acceptance of an EMP grant award letter for Emergency Management, ratification of a Moab Office of Tourism logo overage, final payment/ invoice ratification for the RCOG grant closeout (Arroyo Crossing), a letter of support for nomination of Poison Spider Mesa Trail to the National Recreation Trail System, renewal of Grand County’s Small Business Revolving Loan Fund administration agreement with SERDA, and ratification of an ICA with Babcock Design for a public safety complex feasibility study. Motion by Commissioner Jacques Hadler; seconded by Vice‑Chair Bill Winfield. Motion passed 7–0.
Commission Administrator Mark Tyner presented the Commission’s prioritized CIB list and commissioners approved that list; commissioners clarified their rankings function as recommendations for the CIB. Chair Melodie McCandless presented a resolution to amend Canyonlands Healthcare SSD bylaws to reflect the board name change, add duties and representatives, expand meeting locations and correct formatting; the resolution passed 7–0.
