Commissioners approve OWDA cooperative agreement to plan Stewart-Guysville sewer project

The resolution states the project is intended to remove individual onsite septic treatments in the communities to protect public health.
The motion to approve the resolution was made by Commissioner Chris Chmiel, seconded by Commissioner Charlie Adkins; roll call showed Lenny Eliason absent, Chmiel yea, Adkins yea. The resolution includes a statement finding that formal actions occurred in an open meeting and includes an emergency clause to make the measure effective immediately.
Next steps include completing the cooperative agreement paperwork and proceeding with OWDA planning activities per the agreement terms.
