Allen County commissioners approve routine resolutions, lease renewal and construction change order

The Allen County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 24 approved a slate of routine resolutions and contractual actions during its agenda session.
The board approved a consent agenda that included Resolution #118‑26 (travel expenses), Resolution #119‑26 (supplemental appropriation for the Community Development Fund), Resolution #120‑26 (supplemental appropriation for the General Fund), Resolution #121‑26 (supplemental appropriation for the Real Estate Assessment Fund), Resolution #122‑26 (acceptance of the retirement of Dan Dickman from Building and Grounds) and Resolution #123‑26 (authorize 2026 membership dues for the Allen County Department of Job and Family Services to the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce). Commissioner Brian Winegardner moved to approve the resolutions; Commissioner Cory Noonan seconded. The roll was called and the resolutions were approved unanimously.
On a separate item, the board chose not to request a hearing on a liquor permit application for Royal Curry Co. LLC. Commissioner Cory Noonan moved to not request a hearing; Commissioner Brian Winegardner seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The commissioners also approved Resolution #124‑25 to renew a lease agreement with the Allen County Educational Service Center for property at 1920 Slabtown Road and Resolution #125‑26 approving Change Order #1A‑3 with Charles Contracting, LLC (doing business as Charles Construction Service) for general work and site contracting on the new administration building project. Commissioner Winegardner moved to approve each resolution; Commissioner Noonan seconded and both motions carried unanimously.
