Allen County commissioners approve slate of routine resolutions, appointments and funding actions

The Board of Allen County Commissioners unanimously approved a package of routine resolutions and administrative actions during its Feb. 19, 2026, meeting.
Commissioner Brian Winegardner, Commissioner Beth Seibert and Commissioner Cory Noonan voted to adopt consent and business items that included travel reimbursements (Resolution #99-26), supplemental appropriations for the Dutch Hollow Ditch Fund and the Motor Vehicle & Gas Tax Fund (Resolutions #100-26 and #101-26), and establishment of an Agricultural Opioid Remediation Fund (Res. #102-26). The board also approved a personnel reclassification in the Sanitary Engineering Department (Res. #103-26) and accepted a resignation from the Department of Job and Family Services (Res. #104-26).
The board appointed Philip Zimmerly as the Allen County 9-1-1 Coordinator (Res. #105-26) and amended the county's OneOhio Recovery delegation (Res. #916-25A). Other administrative approvals included adoption of a Late Fee/Penalty Waiver Request Form (Res. #106-26), and a dispatching agreement between the Allen County Sheriff's Office and Perry Township (Res. #107-26).
Commissioners authorized Allen County's participation in the Statewide Security Services Contract through Ohio Buys (Res. #108-26), adopted the Community Development Block Grant Citizens' Participation Plan (Res. #109-26) and authorized solicitation of RFQs for FY2026 CDBG program funds (Res. #110-26).
The board set a time for a view and hearing and instructed the County Engineer to proceed with reports for the potential partial vacation of a portion of B Street in the Zurmehly Re-Subdivision, Shawnee Township (Res. #111-26 and Res. #112-26), and fixed meeting dates for the County Engineer's 2026 Road Program (Res. #114-26). The board also approved the acquisition of a permanent easement for Kerr Road bridge work at a cost of $1,305 (Res. #116-26).
All listed resolutions were adopted by unanimous roll call votes. The actions were recorded in the meeting minutes and will be processed by the Clerk of the Board for implementation.
