Teresa Fouts‑Imler, Director of 911‑EMA, briefed commissioners on operational readiness: a full‑scale emergency exercise (truck collision/rollover scenario) is scheduled at the fairgrounds with multiple agencies participating; a Senior Safety Day is set for May 15 at the Athens Community Center; a storm damaged a simulcast antenna bracket but a Pennsylvania firm completed repairs at an approximate cost of $7,500 and the tower is now operational; generator work at the Coolville tower by Trout Electric is finishing; and site maintenance and preventive checks continue across the system. Fouts‑Imler added that the current radio system will remain in service and be phased out as the county transitions equipment to MARCS.
She reported successful completion of the 9‑1‑1 state audit and the LEADS security audit and described plans to deploy a RevCord recorder extension that will use artificial intelligence to produce call transcripts and assist quality assurance by flagging calls for review. The board adopted the proclamation by unanimous vote.
