"We have family liaisons in every school," the presenter said, noting centralized student assignment services and website resources for families who need assistance or lack internet access.
Members asked how transient families and those with language barriers can access services; staff described Student Assignment Services and a QR‑code pamphlet given to parents, in‑person assistance at central office and planned communications campaigns ("Super Saturdays" and ward meetings) to increase awareness. Committee members approved the recommendation and recorded a roll call; the policy will go to the full committee for final approval and staff said they will adjust the adoption date before final submission.
