Bonner County comptroller: ARPA funds were used for EMS and original ARPA tranche exhausted in 2025

Amy Lunsford asked whether the county had spent actual American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds on EMS or was still spending only interest. Comptroller Jessica answered that ARPA funds "were expensed for EMS" and specified 2023 spending on salary replacement, supplies and a new ambulance. She said the county had spent the original tranche of ARPA money and that those funds were fully expended in 2025. Jessica also noted that subsequent local "tribal consistency" funds (a less-restricted form of ARPA-like funding) were used primarily for EMS in 2024–25.
The comptroller confirmed the county commission approved the ARPA expenditures and that the county has no ARPA funds remaining from the original allotment. The board did not take further action on ARPA at the meeting.
