The Allen County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a slate of routine resolutions and funding actions at its March 26 meeting, including contract renewals for Child Support Enforcement, allocation of federal ARPA funds to the Administration Building capital account and authorization to purchase county vehicle chassis.
Commissioner Cory Noonan led the meeting and the board approved the agenda at 9 a.m. by unanimous roll call. The consent agenda included travel expense coverage and the establishment of several ditch funds and supplemental appropriations. Commissioner Beth Seibert moved to approve the listed resolutions; Commissioner Brian Winegardner seconded the motion and the roll was called with a unanimous vote.
Among the individual actions, the board voted to: - Not request a hearing on a permit matter from the Ohio Division of Liquor Control regarding Racetrac Inc. (motion by Commissioner Brian Winegardner). - Adopt Resolution #226-26 to receive the Tax Incentive Review Council 2026 minute and act under R.C. 5709.85 on recommended Enterprise Zone agreement amendments (moved by Commissioner Cory Noonan). - Adopt Resolution #227-26 to allocate and encumber unrestricted ARPA funds from ARPA Fund 2893 and authorize issuance of payment to Administration Building Capital Fund 4022 (moved by Commissioner Beth Seibert).
The board also authorized contract renewals for the Child Support Enforcement Agency. Resolution #228-26 approves renewal of an IV-D contract with the Allen County Domestic Relations Court for magistrate services for an amount not to exceed $490,073.33; Resolution #229-26 approves renewal of a security-services contract with the Allen County Sheriff's Office not to exceed $92,305.12. Both motions were moved and seconded and passed unanimously.
On procurement, the board adopted Resolution #217-26 (previously tabled) authorizing the Allen County Engineer to purchase four 2027 Freightliner 114SD Plus tandem dump truck chassis from Stoops Freightliner at $125,842.00 per chassis. Commissioner Seibert moved the resolution; Commissioner Winegardner seconded and the motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
Clerk Brittany N. Woods certified the meeting minutes. No votes opposed the measures; no abstentions were recorded. The board recessed for breaks and committee meetings during the day and adjourned following a budget review session.
The board instructed staff to follow up on several items, including requested reconfiguration quotes for Government Center furnishings and millwork and preparing letters of support requested by outside agencies.
