Dr. Janeko told the board the candidate is a resident of Elkins Park and attended Franklin & Marshall College, the University of Texas at Austin and Temple University.
The superintendent said the candidate presented a vision for Enfield Elementary to more than 40 staff members and met with selection panels that included administrators, community members and students. Dr. Janeko said the candidate is expected to join the district this summer "and we're very thrilled to have him able to join us in the district, hopefully starting this summer."
Board members did not take a separate recorded vote on the candidate during the interim meeting; the board later approved the personnel slate presented in the meeting attachments by voice vote.
