"Purdue Extension is undergoing a transformation that will meet community needs by maximizing existing resources and strengthening available expertise," McCurdy said, relaying language from the Dean and ex‑Director of Extension.
Commissioners asked whether 4‑H structure would change; McCurdy said 4‑H will remain the same locally and that her current structure is expected to remain through 2027 though some role splitting could change later as positions are reorganized. She invited questions and said Extension remains available to support county initiatives.
The commissioners thanked McCurdy for the update and asked her to convey their appreciation to the Extension leadership.
