Matt Henneke elected chair; Tom Neal chosen vice chair; committee sets monthly meeting schedule

Henneke immediately led nominations for vice chair. Alder Tom Neal accepted a nomination and, after a motion to close nominations, the committee elected Neal by acclamation.
Committee members then discussed a regular meeting schedule. Staff noted the committee has traditionally met the first Tuesday of each month and recommended retaining the 5:30 p.m. start time. Alder Neal moved to keep that schedule and the motion carried by voice vote.
The leadership changes and schedule were procedural actions intended to set the committee’s operating rhythm for the term. Henneke did not expand on a policy agenda at the meeting; the committee moved on to agenda items that included property and department updates.
