The Milton Area School District committee unanimously approved multiple personnel items at its Jan. 13 meeting, including volunteer appointments contingent on required training and clearances, professional-staff resignations, transfers and new hires.
The board approved a slate of independent volunteers for 2025–2026 contingent on mandated reporter training, required background clearances and TB test results. The minutes list 13 volunteers by name; approval was contingent on those documents being provided before service in district schools.
On professional staff actions, the minutes record the resignation of Ashleigh Sheets, a Special Education teacher at the Middle School, effective Feb. 5, 2026; the board noted she has worked for the district for 6.5 years. The committee recommended transferring Kristen Dolan from Autistic Support to Learning Support at the Middle School effective Feb. 2, 2026.
Pending required clearances, certification and screenings, the board recommended hiring Allie Keister as a 2nd-grade teacher at James F. Baugher Elementary School with terms listed at $58,007 (pro-rated), Bachelor's, Step 1, effective Jan. 16, 2026. The board also recommended hiring Zoe Reese in Special Education - Autistic Support with terms $58,007, effective Jan. 14, 2026. Dave Slater introduced Allie Keister to the board and Keister thanked members for the opportunity to join the district.
The personnel motion (items 8.a—8.d) was approved 8-0. The minutes record that these hires and appointments are pending required clearances, certification, and health screening results.
