Adams County commissioners approve weekly bills, transfers and several resolutions

The Adams County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Dec. 8 to approve the weekly bills and a slate of resolutions covering fund transfers, contracts and grants.
The board approved payments itemized across departments that together totaled $620,233.94. Notable line items included a $201,157.20 third and final payment for the Doug Hauke Dog Shelter project and department totals listed for EMS, the engineer, economic development and corrections.
The commissioners approved supplemental transfers and one additional appropriation moving funds between departmental line items and returning $12,475 to the county general fund, as set out in Resolution No. 2025-509. The vote on the transfers was unanimous.
The board also approved a consulting and brokerage agreement with Grady Enterprises, Inc., effective Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026, at an annual cost of $12,000 to support the county health program’s medical, prescription drug, dental, vision and life coverage. That agreement was adopted by roll call as Resolution No. 2025-510.
On the recommendation of the court administrator, the board approved Amendment No. 2 to the Ohio DYS subsidy grant for juvenile diversion programming, adding $7,000 to the grant budget (Resolution No. 2025-511). The board established a new CASA Fund #059 to account for Court Appointed Special Advocate program funds under Resolution No. 2025-512.
Other administrative actions approved included routine departmental invoices, returned advances and line-item adjustments as recorded in the meeting minutes. All motions recorded in the minutes passed on unanimous roll-call votes unless otherwise noted.
The meeting recessed midmorning so commissioners could attend an Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District board meeting and reconvened that afternoon before adjourning.
