Story County publishes draft CIP for public review from April 1 to April 27

Sandra King told the board the draft Capital Improvements Plan will be posted on the county website for public review from April 1 through April 27, with staff returning to the board on April 28 to summarize any input and seek direction on revisions.
King outlined the outreach steps: make the draft available online, run social media posts at the start, middle and end of the review period, issue a press release and consider distributing the draft through partners such as the economic development group and libraries to increase visibility. Board members encouraged broader distribution (libraries and cities) rather than printing hard copies.
What happens next: staff will post the draft, initiate the public review campaign and report back at the April 28 meeting with a summary of feedback and recommended changes.
