LITCHFIELD, Ky. — The Litchfield City Council received an update on an updated comprehensive plan and briefed on corrections to the personnel policy.
Tyler Harrell, the planning and zoning administrator, said the planning commission held a public hearing and voted to recommend approval of the updated comprehensive plan. Harrell recommended that the council take no action at the meeting and instead review the plan; he noted council members have 90 days to ask questions or submit concerns. "You've got 90 days before anything has to happen, so take your time," Harrell said.
Council also reviewed corrections to the personnel policy discussed at prior personnel meetings. Staff explained that prior language mistakenly indicated Easter was a holiday with holiday pay; the corrected policy will reflect that affected employees (police officers, wastewater and water treatment plant operators) receive time-and-a-half pay for work on Easter under the personnel rules.
What’s next: Council members will review the comprehensive plan and direct any questions to Harrell. Staff will adopt the personnel-policy text correction as discussed.
