The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners approved a set of contracts and requisitions April 28, 2026, covering film location fees, professional services and several capital projects. The board approved a change order to the Ebenezer Road resurfacing contract that adds $690,604.15 and extends the contract term by 45 days.
Clerk read multiple items for ratification, including a GIS professional services agreement with Blue Raster LLC for $22,950; a maintenance bond and final plat related to a 51.146‑acre tract at 2051 Highway 138 NE (bond $6,000); and procurement of polyblend orthophosphate for the water treatment plant from AquaSmart at $102,521 for 65,300 pounds.
Other approved items included accreditation and publication agreements for the sheriff's office, a three‑year contract for CAT alert radios at $8,985, a requisition for Vortex Services LLC for pipe rehab work ($28,557), and a JAC audiovisual systems contract for the judicial and administrative complex ($822,568.50). Several items were submitted as budgeted or SPLAS/JAC funded.
Director Peake clarified the scope of an easement‑clearing requisition to allow access and maintenance of sanitary sewer lines; he said clearing would reduce root infiltration on roughly 323 sites. The board voted to approve the full package of items (items 2‑27 through 2‑49) after staff questions and brief discussion.
The board was asked to ratify both routine and capital purchases at the meeting; several line items were noted as flash funded or specifically tied to capital project budgets. The clerk and staff confirmed funding sources at presentation time; line‑by‑line backup is maintained in county procurement records.
