Hartselle Fire Department declares equipment surplus for donation or sale

Fire Chief Daryl Fox asked the Council to declare several items surplus that the department no longer needs so they may be donated or sold. Items listed included PASS devices, hose clamps with brackets, Akron nozzles, Amkus hose reels, Hurst rescue pump and hoses, Hurst spreader and cutter, RAM units with extension sets, large intake fittings, LDH hose, positive pressure fans, hoses, Honda 5,000‑watt generators, RAM mounts, a 120v to 12v inverter and a FireCom wireless controller.
Chief Fox said some items would be offered first to members of the Morgan County Volunteer Association and, if unclaimed, listed for sale on GovDeals. Council Member Austin Baker moved to declare the items surplus and Council Member Sherry Yeager seconded; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
