Adams County commissioners approve $328,269 in bills and a package of supplemental transfers and appropriations

The Board of Adams County Commissioners on April 13 approved payment of $328,268.95 in invoices across county departments and adopted a package of supplemental transfers and appropriations to adjust department budgets.
The board, meeting at the Adams County Government Center, voted unanimously on the bills packet recorded as Resolution No. 2026-134. The itemized journal included line items for EMS, courthouse operations, county court expenses and sheriff's office costs, among others, producing a grand total of $328,268.95.
The commissioners then considered and approved Resolution No. 2026-135, a combined set of supplemental transfers, additional appropriations and a reduction of appropriations. Examples read into the record included a $600 transfer from a Workers Compensation line to Insurance for Common Pleas, $2,024 moved into Fleet Insurance for the Engineer, and additional appropriations such as $6,407 to Insurance—County Buildings and $36,688.20 to PERS for Real Estate Assessment. The board also recorded a $4,400 reduction from contract services in the Rome Sewer Fund.
Commissioner Barbara Moore Holt moved the transfer and appropriation measures and Commissioner Kelly Jones seconded; the roll call showed Kelly Jones, Barbara Moore Holt and Jason Hayslip voting aye.
The board also approved several uses of the courthouse grounds, including the ‘‘Chalk The Walk’’ event hosted by Women Helping Women and a Child Abuse Prevention pinwheel placement scheduled for April.
