Washington County commissioners approve routine financial measures, jail contracts and small grants

The Washington County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a series of routine financial and administrative items at its April 2 meeting, including bills for payment, additional appropriations, interfund transfers, travel reimbursements and a list of Then & Now certificates.
Commission President Charlie L. Schilling, Vice President Eddie D. Place and Member Ronald G. Nohe recorded aye votes on every motion presented by staff. Eddie D. Place moved and Ronald G. Nohe seconded the motions as listed on the agenda.
Among the budget actions the board approved additional appropriations: $37,541.55 for a Common Pleas BJA grant, $650 for Family & Children First, $10,673.09 for Engineer capital projects and $1,378 for Developmental Disabilities. The board also approved two transfers from the H2Ohio Creek Project that together move $204,271.56 between project accounts.
The commissioners approved travel and training reimbursements for Job & Family Services and Children Services staff and accepted the auditor’s prepared list of bills for payment; the detailed lists are filed in the commissioners’ office.
