The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted April 9 to approve Invoice #4 from Veregy for $390,655.04, payment that the county engineer said covers field installation work on the Veregy Pump Station Improvements Project — Phase 2.
County Engineer Roger Wright told the board the invoice documents 95% completion of 12 pump stations and 50% completion of five additional stations. "Every station is installed and they are down to the punch list," Wright said, adding crews are now locating inflow and infiltration issues.
The project is contracted for $5,200,000 and includes $4,000,000 in loan forgiveness from the Ohio EPA Water Pollution Control Loan Fund, according to material presented at the meeting. Commissioners approved the invoice on a unanimous roll call.
Commission staff did not identify additional change orders at the meeting; Wright said remaining work includes punch‑list items and addressing inflow and infiltration discovered during commissioning. The county did not provide a new completion date at the meeting.
The board asked that engineering continue to report progress to commissioners; follow‑up updates are expected as crews complete punch‑list items.
