Representatives from Intermountain Health presented the hospital’s annual report and described service expansions in southern Utah.
Cindy Woodbury Gilbert (board representative) and Joel Jacobs (executive team) introduced a video and recapped community investments, while Natalie Ashby, president of St. George Regional Hospital, described clinical highlights: expansion of operating rooms, adolescent day‑treatment services (opening delayed to January with a ribbon cutting Jan. 23 invited), enhanced cancer therapies including adaptive cellular and radioligand therapy, telehealth, and a network approach to keep primary care within 10 minutes of "every rooftop" in the region.
The presentation also highlighted Intermountain’s $22M+ in community gifts for 2023, including community service and education, clinics for underserved populations, and health professional education funds. Council members thanked the health system for lifesaving work and local partnerships; the hospital invited council to the January ribbon cutting.
Quotable: "We promise to continue to deliver great quality care to improve access to that care and give back to our community," said Natalie Ashby.
