OSU Extension gives 4-H update, highlights awards and April enrollment

Representatives from OSU Extension provided a brief update to the Washington County commissioners at their March 19 meeting, reporting recent club activities and upcoming events.
Bruce Zimmer (OSU Extension), joined by 4-H member Adam Miller and 4-H advisor Ellie Tullius, said the local 4-H program will receive a state award, had participated in hurricane relief in North Carolina through quilts and fundraising, and expects two new clubs this year. Mr. Zimmer noted Levi Reynolds was selected as a shooting-sport ambassador for Ohio. 4-H enrollment opens April 1, and the 4-H Endowment Dinner & Auction is scheduled for April 11 at the Washington County Junior Fair Building; tickets are $30.
Commissioners thanked 4-H volunteers and organizers for their community work; the update was informational and did not require a board vote.
