Commissioners approve 40-year lease with Reno Area Water and Sewer District

The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted Feb. 12 to approve a 40-year lease with the Reno Area Water and Sewer District. The term begins Feb. 12, 2026, and ends Feb. 11, 2066; consideration for the lease is one dollar.
Commissioner Eddie D. Place moved to approve the lease and Commissioner Ronald G. Nohe seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The lease describes a 0.65-acre parcel in Marietta Township and updates a prior forty-year lease that ran from May 1984 through May 2024.
The lease was presented as an updated continuation of an existing arrangement and contains a legal property description of the parcel. Commissioners did not discuss changes to the parcel description or lease consideration during the session; the documents will be kept on file in the Commissioners Office.
