Coweta PWA approves $17.1 million contract assignments for new fire and police stations

Coweta Public Works Authority trustees unanimously approved assigning additional bid contracts for the construction of Fire Station No. 1 and the Police Station to Flintco, LLC under a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) of $17,112,334, the board recorded during a special meeting Feb. 2, 2026.
Trust Manager Julie Casteen presented the item and requested the authority to proceed with the assignments and to execute all necessary documents related to the contracts. "Trust Manager Julie Casteen led discussion and requested possible action related to the assignment of additional bid contracts for the construction of Fire Station No. 1 and the Police Station to Flintco, LLC," the minutes state.
Chair Naomi Hogue moved the measure, and Trustee Jeremy Barnett seconded. The motion, as recorded, requested approval of the assignment of additional bid contracts to Flintco, LLC included in the guaranteed maximum price of $17,112,334 and specified that payments would be made from the 1% Sales Tax Fund. The motion passed with the following recorded ayes: Naomi Hogue; Jeremy Barnett; Daniel Beatie; Joshua Wilburn; Donald Vieth.
The consent calendar also included approval of the minutes from the Authority’s Jan. 6, 2026 special meeting, which the trustees approved earlier in the session. The special meeting convened at 7:08 p.m. at Coweta City Hall, 310 S. Broadway, and the minutes record the meeting adjourned at 7:11 p.m.; Trust Secretary Marcy Kilgore’s name appears on the minutes.
The trustees directed the Trust Manager to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the contract assignments. The minutes do not record additional conditions, amendments or a detailed breakdown of the GMP; the document lists Flintco, LLC as the contractor and the 1% Sales Tax Fund as the funding source.
