Allen County commissioners receive staff updates on road dedication, contracts and insurance

During the April 7 meeting staff briefed the Board of Allen County Commissioners on several administrative matters.
County staff reported they are working with RaceTrac on a right-of-way dedication; the dedication will be placed on a future agenda for approval. Staff also reported work on a coroner transportation-services contract and said they will begin drafting a memorandum of understanding with the County Engineer related to the MS4 and SMSCR transition to the Soil & Water Conservation District.
Staff noted an upcoming meeting about Marion Township annexation to the City of Delphos and reviewed an employee dishonesty coverage analysis; John Willamowski Jr. is reviewing necessary coverage for officials. Brittany Woods reported RFQ responses received for CDBG allocation administration (GLCAP) and fair housing administration (WOCAP); those agreements will be placed on a future agenda.
CORSA renewal was reported as scheduled for April 20 with an invoice showing a 5.75% increase. Staff also provided details of a workers' compensation claim at the County Engineer's office in which an employee was injured and required stitches; the claim has been submitted.
The commissioners agreed to place a health department loan application authorization on an upcoming agenda and supported a potential grand opening for the Veterans Garage if the Veterans Service Commission chooses to hold one.
