County Attorney (functional title) called attention to paragraph 17, which provides for binding arbitration, and said he was "not a big fan of arbitration" though not categorically opposed. The chair confirmed the recommendation and asked for a motion; the board approved the contract by voice vote.
Miss Cargesway said the contract language requires that any substantive financial or project changes return to the board for approval and that the county would hold Bay Restoration to the step‑by‑step mitigation process described in the proposal. The agenda packet and the county attorney’s final review will determine the contract’s final, binding text.
