Dutton said the Cooperative Extensions fisheries and aquaculture specialist, Joshua Rietzma, presented a shellfish report, and Anthony Gherachi provided an overview of the countys household hazardous-waste program and proposed changes to the countys road and marine flare program.
On finance matters, Dutton told the Assembly the county secured a favorable interest rate when it awarded a general obligation bond for $2,149,130 as part of the commissioners consent agenda.
The administrator offered to answer questions about commissioner actions and the consent agenda; none were raised. The remarks served as an informational update rather than a forum for decisions, and delegates later praised the recent budget process as direct and efficient.
