Athens County approves ODNR right-of-entry for Fossil Rock Road reclamation, acknowledges aggregate and emulsions bids and authorizes asphalt bid advertisement

The Athens County Board of Commissioners on March 31 approved the county engineer's request granting the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) a right-of-entry for Fossil Rock Road (County Road 42) to permit reclamation and subsidence remediation work. The meeting packet includes a right-of-entry/consent form referencing the Fossil Rock Road Subsidence Emergency project (project number AT-L4-03).
The board also acknowledged multiple bid submittals for the engineer's office for various grades of limestone aggregate and for RC/MC, primers and emulsions. Commissioners voted to authorize advertising for asphalt bids pending the prosecutor's approval of contract language, with a tentative advertisement in April and a planned April 28 bid opening.
