Ryan Getz told the council that two single-axle trucks ordered to replace fleet items are expected to be delivered imminently and asked for an additional appropriation of $282,400 from the county's MVH account to finalize purchases.
Getz said the MVH account currently held approximately $2.296 million and that the requested amount would complete the purchase. Council members discussed the history of approvals dating back to 2024 and asked whether further appropriation requests would be needed if invoicing timing changes; Getz said this represented the final purchase for that truck discussion unless further vehicles fail.
A motion to approve the $282,400 additional appropriation was made, seconded and passed unanimously with all members present.
Staff said the county would monitor invoicing and return if additional appropriation were required later in the year.
