Vendor urges Polk school board to keep Quaver Music curriculum

During the public-comment portion of the May 5 meeting, Khaled Daniels of Quaver Ed asked the Polk County School Board to retain Quaver Music in the K–5 curriculum rather than replace it with Hal Leonard.
Daniels told the board Quaver Music is the only K–5 music curriculum in Florida that went through the department’s approval process and that it aligns to state standards and supports integration with math and literacy. He said Quaver has a 10-year local track record, provides district administration with a dashboard to monitor implementation, gives each student an individual account (including Spanish-language resources), and includes professional development and implementation support at no additional cost. Daniels recommended the board continue Quaver Music for one year at the current pricing structure.
