Adams County approves roughly $1.27 million in CSEA IV‑D contracts for 2026

The Adams County Commissioners on March 30 approved five contracts associated with the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA IV‑D), as presented by Job and Family Services Director Angela Malott.
The board approved the following agreements, each retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026: a Prosecuting Attorney contract for $614,592.02; a Sheriff Department services contract for $345,939.33; Clerk of Court filing services for $46,311.65; Juvenile Division filing services for $178,612.81; and Domestic Relations magistrate services for $85,144.73. The combined total for the five contracts is $1,270,600.54. Each motion passed by voice vote with Commissioners Kelly Jones, Barbara Moore Holt and Jason Hayslip recorded as voting "aye."
Malott submitted the contracts for board approval and the record cites related entries in the Contract Journal (see pages referenced in the minutes). The agreements fund operational services that support CSEA IV‑D functions, such as filing, magistrate services and prosecutorial work. The board did not discuss contract amendments in detail during the meeting; the minutes record each motion, the mover/second, and the unanimous vote.
Next steps: the contracts were entered into the county record per the Contract Journal references noted in the minutes and will be administered by Job and Family Services and the respective offices named in the motions.
