The County Engineer indicated he would continue contributing $4,000 annually for MS4 (municipal separate storm sewer system) compliance work but said he would not commit to a $2,000 annual payment tied to a three-way Memorandum of Understanding for Stormwater Management and Sediment Control Regulations that had not been signed for 2026.
Commissioners asked Wildermuth to proceed with the requested funding and requested a meeting with ASWCD to discuss future administration of stormwater management responsibilities and the 3-way agreement. The discussion also touched on other intergovernmental MOUs (Regional Planning Commission membership and services) and directed Wildermuth to remit the Commissioners’ share for the Regional Planning membership.
The decision to allocate program funds and to convene further discussions was recorded as direction to staff; no formal amendment to the governing agreements was presented at the meeting.
