Davis said the 2026 budget is expected to ‘run slightly in the red’ because of retirements and overlap staffing, rising waiver costs and conservative budgeting assumptions. He flagged concerns about statewide waiver funding and noted some counties are in financial emergency, and reminded commissioners that local levy revenue covers the county’s required share of waiver costs.
Commissioners moved and approved the DD request to purchase a Surface Pro. The motion was made by Commissioner Charlie Adkins, seconded by Commissioner Chris Chmiel, and passed unanimously. No additional procurement details or vendor names were provided in the meeting record.
