District staff described Amendment 4 to the IBM data‑warehouse project, a contract update that moves the project from backend setup to the delivery of the district’s first dashboards. The amendment focuses on loading student demographic and performance data, building school/district summaries and data‑quality monitoring tools, and turning the knowledge transfer to district staff so the district can maintain dashboards in house.
Staff emphasized data governance and privacy protections; board members raised student‑privacy questions and staff confirmed that vendor work will be done with anonymized or read‑only access controls and that data‑sharing agreements and contract safeguards will be in place. Presenters described initial dashboard topics (student summaries, discipline and attendance flags, school‑level goal progress) and said dashboards will provide drill‑downs so leaders can identify individual students who need intervention.
Separately, staff requested a change order to the SAP employee‑central implementation to add Spanish translations for employee self‑service pages. The change order funds SAP configuration and translation workbooks so Spanish‑speaking custodial, food‑service and other 12‑month employees can access payroll and personnel information in Spanish. Staff said translated screens will persist across upgrades going forward.
What’s next: If the board approves the amendment and change order, staff will begin dashboard builds under Amendment 4, continue vendor knowledge transfer and provide periodic updates on privacy protocols and early dashboard prototypes for staff review.
