Ivins public safety seeks pay adjustment, requests four vehicle replacements

On equipment, Dale said the department’s radios, tasers and firearms are up to date, but vehicles remain the department’s primary equipment shortfall this year. He reported a request for four vehicle replacements: two to replace inoperative units and two to cycle older vehicles. Dale said departments are willing to consider adjustments to fit a tight budget and to prioritize essential replacements.
Councilors were asked to keep these staffing and equipment requests in mind as budget work continues; no final budget decisions were made at the meeting.
