Police Chief Marino said the department’s request rose slightly after discussions with the mayor’s office and accounting for reimbursed overtime and contractual items; he told the committee that increases are largely contractual and noted an increase in JAG funding that will allow reallocation "towards proactive policing and traffic work." "We're not asking for anything more," Marino said.
