Allen County commissioners approve routine resolutions, authorize $481,338 sewer‑inspection purchase

The Allen County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Feb. 12 to approve a series of routine resolutions, allocate federal ARPA funds for a county construction pay application, and authorize a $481,338.31 purchase of a 2026 Envirosight sanitary‑sewer CCTV inspection system to replace a 2013 unit.
Commissioner Cory Noonan moved to approve the amended agenda at the start of the meeting; Commissioner Beth Seibert seconded and the roll call approval was unanimous. The board then approved minutes from Feb. 3 and Feb. 4 and adopted the consent agenda containing multiple supplemental appropriations, fund transfers and personnel resignations (Resolutions #78‑26 through #92‑26). The roll was called and the consent resolutions passed unanimously.
On a separate motion the board approved Resolution #93‑25 to allocate and encumber unrestricted ARPA funds for the Administration Building (Charles Construction pay application 13). The board also approved Resolution #94‑26 authorizing the Sanitary Engineering Department to purchase one 2026 Envirosight CCTV inspection system at a stated cost of $481,338.31; the existing 2013 unit will be sold to the County Engineer's Office.
County Engineer items approved for advertisement and bidding included the Columbus Grove–Bluffton Road Bridge Replacement (engineer estimate about $1.4 million; bid opening scheduled March 19 at 1:00 p.m.), a Begg Road structure replacement (estimate $240,000) and a Kerr Road structure replacement (estimate $195,428.74). The board also authorized posting for bids on a Begg Road bridge replacement with an engineer estimate of approximately $122,500; that bid opening was listed for March 19 at 1:15 p.m.
