The Wylie Plan Zoning Commission on May 5 approved a site-plan amendment to reconfigure parking for Sandon International at 601 Sandin Boulevard.
Staff presenter Mr. Molina said the property's developed footprint was reduced from about 90 acres to roughly 25 acres, which required redesigning the parking layout. The submitted plan covers 24.884 acres and shows a required 30-foot fire lane to be added on an amended plat. Mr. Molina said the developer will provide 370 parking spaces, with standard 10-by-20 stalls and ADA-accessible spaces, and that landscaping will meet the ordinance’s 10% requirement.
Mr. Molina also noted the plan includes an emergency gate in case development to the south advances; staff has already received a separate site-plan submittal for that adjacent parcel and it is currently under review.
Commissioner [name unspecified] moved to approve the site plan "as presented," a motion that was seconded and passed by voice vote recorded as 6-0. The commission took no public comment on the item.
