Dana McCaleb moved the calendar change; Matt East seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously in favor.
The change was described as a flexibility measure tied to instructional-time needs and inclement weather contingencies. The action does not itself set which days will be reclaimed; it authorizes the administration to use those two days as full instructional days if conditions warrant.
Board members confirmed the decision by recorded vote. The board will notify school communities if the district elects to reclaim either day later in the school year.
